Summary
Managerial The management responsibility of the post holder will be to the Clinical Director who is responsible to the Chief Executive and Trust Board. Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance The post holder must be aware of clinical governance and clinical risk management and take an active part in their implementation, including audit. Clinical audit is well established at the BRI and post holders will be required to participate in at least one supervised audit project during the 12-month post BRI ED is an academic department with an active research programme. The department has a good reputation for teaching and training as evidenced by our recent performance in the GMC Trainees survey. We include both traditional and modern (SIM, podcasts, e-learning) teaching methods in our teaching programme which Clinical Fellows are given rostered time to attend. The ED rota operates a full shift system with a balanced mix of early, middle, late and night shifts.
