This is a position covering Dudley Hospitals
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to joint our growing engineering family.
Our Multi Skilled Technicians provide delivery of facilities support services across our client sites. The role will be responsible for supervision of the shift team, carrying out a range of general maintenance and business support tasks. They will report to Maintenance manager and assist engineers as required in the delivery of reactive, planned and ad hoc maintenance tasks.
Suitable training and up-skilling - May be given, as and when required, to achieve competency and the ability to perform the following (as detailed in responsibilities).
Working hours - Although the core working hours are 08:00 to 16:30, there may be a certain degree of flexibility depending on individual circumstances.
Main Duties
-To supervise on site shift engineers in an effective and efficient manner, meeting the requirements and expectations of the client within the boundaries of the contracts.
Carry out return to work meetings and disciplinary as necessary.
Carry out auditing to our quality systems including but not limited to QSHE, Compliance and workmanship inspections.
Oversee the Concept CAFM system in conjunction, audit engineers pda's to ensure compliance.
Ensure all operatives are provided with the necessary resources, materials, tools and information to enable them to carry out their duties for ensuring that safe working practices are adhered to.
Manage the out of hours support, to ensure full shift coverage.
Support projects, small works requests.
Provide support for statutory compliance / planned maintenance activities.
Ensuring continuity of statutory training for all operatives undertaking work of this nature.
Health & Safety:
-Follow Group and company policies and procedures, at all times.
-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.
-Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
-Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
-Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety matters.
What we are looking for
-Electrically or mechanically qualified, minimum of level 3 and a good working knowledge of other disciplines
Experienced in supervising staff.
Commercially astute.
Knowledge of PPM and Reactive work Systems.
Excellent customer interface skills and communication skills.
Well organised and able to prioritise and work to deadlines.
Good IT skills.
Team player, flexible and able to work under pressure.
Experience in a health care environment and knowledge of HTM would be an advantage.
