Summary

SEN Learning Support Assistant – Preston

Humly is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.

This is a part-time role starting 17th April 2026 and continuing until 17th July 2026. This role would suit an experienced and confident SEN Learning Support Assistant who is comfortable working with small groups and supporting pupils with additional needs. The role involves delivering structured intervention support outside of the classroom, with a strong focus on engagement and behaviour.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support a small group of Year 3 pupils in an intervention setting
Encourage engagement with learning tasks and activities
Manage behaviour using clear, consistent strategies
Reinforce expectations and promote positive learning behaviours
Work collaboratively with staff to support pupil progress
What You’ll Bring

Experience working as a SEN Learning Support Assistant in a primary setting
Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and behavioural challenges
Strong behaviour management skills with a calm and consistent approach
Ability to engage and motivate small groups of learners
A proactive and reliable attitude

Pay

£15.76+ per hour

Important Information

Part-time – Fridays only (08:30–15:15)
Start date: 17th April 2026
Primary school-based position
Enhanced DBS required
