Summary

Woodlands Home & Garden Group is a growing UK manufacturing and distribution business, best known for our Tiger Sheds brand. We design, manufacture, and deliver high-quality timber buildings at scale across multiple sites, combining practical craftsmanship with operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Quality Lead plays a key role in improving product and service quality across our operations. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role, working closely with production, supply chain, logistics, and aftercare teams to reduce defects, rework, complaints, and service failures.

You will help define what good quality looks like, embed it into everyday working practices, and ensure issues are resolved properly at root cause level. This role is about building consistency, accountability, and pride in quality as the business continues to grow.

This is a visible and influential role within our TOPEx continuous improvement programme, with real scope to shape how quality is delivered across Woodlands.

Hours: 40 hours per week (start and finish times to be agreed)
Salary: Competitive and negotiable, depending on experience and the value you bring

ROLE OVERVIEW

- Being a visible, hands-on presence across production and operational areas
- Defining and embedding clear, practical quality standards for materials, processes, and finished products
- Supporting teams to achieve right-first-time build quality
- Identifying quality issues early and helping teams resolve them effectively
- Leading structured investigations into defects, complaints, and service failures
- Driving corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat issues
- Using customer feedback and performance data to inform improvement actions
- Supporting suppliers and internal teams with non-conforming materials without disrupting output
- Tracking quality performance, highlighting trends, and providing clear insight to operations leadership
- Training, coaching, and supporting teams to build confidence and ownership of quality

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

- Has experience improving quality within a manufacturing environment (essential)
- Is comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging directly with operational teams
- Understands root cause analysis and practical problem-solving
- Can work at pace in a fast-changing environment
- Brings energy, accountability, and a positive, hands-on attitude
- Cares about getting things right and helping others do the same
- You do not need a long list of qualifications. If you have real-world experience, the right mindset, and the drive to improve quality properly, we want to hear from you.

WHAT WE OFFER
