Summary

Grounds Maintenance Operative

Permanent, 37 hours per week

£25,583 to £25,989 per annum

We are a small friendly team who look after parks and greenspaces in the Malvern Hills District.

About you

The successful candidate under the guidance of the Parks and Greenspaces Officer, you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • Planning, preparation and planting of flower beds and borders
  • Mowing, Strimming and Edging
  • Pruning, hoeing and planting of shrub beds and borders
  • Hedge cutting
  • General maintenance of borders and beds
  • Weed control
  • Litter picking and emptying of bins
  • Driving various vehicles and equipment


  • Play area inspections
  • Experience of work in a similar role or horticultural skills would be preferred but a willingness to develop your skills is essential
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of our team
  • Be able to work alongside community groups
  • Be comfortable with technology and basic mobile devices
  • Ability to drive a 3.5 tonne van and preferably have trailer towing experience
