This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
The English and Maths team work across all of our campuses, so you must be prepared to work at any of our sites.
Day to day duties of the role
- To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, from Entry Level to Level 3.
- Proactively track and record student progress against starting points ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available.
- To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students effectively.
Required skills and qualifications
- Degree-level qualification, which is appropriate to the
work. - All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognized Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain a Certificate in Education within the first three years of service, with the assistance of the College.
- Ability to teach GCSE and Functional Skills English, Entry Level - to level 3.
- Postgraduate and/or relevant professional experience.
