Early Years Teaching Assistant - Wakefield
Start Date: After the Easter holidays
Contract: Ongoing Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

I'm supporting a well‑resourced primary school in the Wakefield area who are looking to appoint an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant after the Easter break. About the Role
- Supporting teaching and learning within a high‑quality Early Years classroom
- Assisting with a blend of structured activities, child‑led play and continuous provision
- Delivering early phonics, language development and prompt, nurturing support
- Creating an engaging, stimulating and safe learning space
- Supporting wider daily routines including outdoor learning, lunchtime supervision and end‑of‑day care
- Working closely with teachers and colleagues to maintain excellent standards of EYFS provision

- Experience working with young children in an Early Years environment (essential)
- A caring, consistent and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Someone who is proactive, organised and confident supporting a busy EYFS setting
