Trauma & Orthopaedic Junior Clinical and Education Fellow (equivalent to CT1/2 level)

The post we are seeking to fill is for 12 months from5thAugust 2026

We are seeking enthusiastic applicants for a Junior Clinical & Education Fellow post (equivalent to CT1/2 level), to join University College Hospital’s world class Trauma and Orthopaedic team.

The trauma and orthopaedic service at University College Hospital is a busy department, led by 20 consultants who specialise in a range of elective and trauma work. As one of our valued Trauma and Orthopaedic juniors you will be supported these consultants, in addition to a team of 14 registrars and 3 Senior Fellows.

You must have some prior experience working as a Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedics.

We encourage applications from driven individuals who are medically qualified Trust Doctors (equivalent to CT1/2) and passionate about a career in Orthopaedic Surgery.

This post offers a fantastic opportunity for surgical trainees interested in furthering their educational and simulation experience. The post will offer specific learning objectives and timetabled sessions in the Education Centre at UCH. In addition to this educational training, the successful candidate will take part as a faculty member in running multi-disciplinary courses programmes of learning, working in UCL undergraduate and UCLH postgraduate medical education.

The post will combine educational experience with training opportunities in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery including traumatic and non-traumatic orthopaedic conditions. The successful candidates will join the SHO rota with timetabled operating and outpatient sessions.
