Summary
The post-holder will deliver comprehensive primary care services, including face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits, and the timely management of prescriptions, correspondence, and clinical queries. They will assess and manage a broad range of undifferentiated conditions, make autonomous clinical decisions, and support patients through diagnosis, treatment planning, health education, and appropriate referrals. Accurate record-keeping and safe, effective prescribing in line with practice guidelines are essential throughout. Alongside clinical duties, the role involves contributing to quality improvement, audit activity, and the ongoing development of patient records and practice systems. The post-holder will work collaboratively within the team, uphold practice policies, and engage in continuous professional development to ensure high standards of evidence-based care. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe working environment, including adherence to infection control procedures, health and safety regulations, and risk management processes. The role also requires a commitment to equality, diversity, and respectful patient care, alongside effective communication with patients, carers, and colleagues.
