About the role:
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Operations & Subcontractor Administrator to act as the central coordination point for the depot. You’ll support the planning of daily routes, liaise with drivers and subcontractors, manage customer requests, and ensure all operational data is processed accurately. This role suits someone who enjoys multitasking, problem‑solving, and being at the heart of day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily routes, services, and driver workloads
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Maintain proactive communication with drivers throughout the day
- Process operational information including purchase orders, contracts, route updates, and amendments
- Support driver debriefs and ensure paperwork and records are accurate
- Assist with fleet admin such as defects, tachographs, and fuel receipts
- Maintain depot administrative tasks including system clear‑downs and record keeping
- Support new business mobilisations, subcontractor queries, and specialist contracts
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Services, and Operations teams to maintain service excellence
About You:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner and a commitment to great customer service
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and work under pressure
- Confident using standard software packages
- Discreet and reliable with an eye for detail
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused role
- Problem‑solver who can work on their own initiative
