We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join the team on a full-time supply basis, with a strong likelihood of the role becoming permanent for the right candidate. You will be working with pupils who present with SEMH needs, often alongside additional challenges such as ADHD, trauma-related behaviours, and associated learning difficulties.

The Role:

As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and EHCP targets


  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour strategies


  • Managing a small class group, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants


  • Building strong, trusting relationships to support engagement and re-engagement in learning


  • Implementing trauma-informed and restorative approaches to behaviour management


  • Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals


    We’re Looking For Someone Who:
    • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent


    • Has experience working with pupils with SEMH needs (preferred in specialist settings, but not essential)


    • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills


    • Is patient, resilient, and adaptable in challenging situations


    • Is committed to inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
