Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Battery Processing Operator to join our growing recycling and materials recovery operation in Dunfermline. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced industrial environment, focused on the safe handling, dismantling, and processing of various battery types.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are processed efficiently while maintaining strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and identify different battery types
Safely dismantle and process batteries according to company procedures
Operate processing machinery and hand tools
Monitor material quality and separate components for recycling
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements
Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, or industrial work preferred
Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
Comfortable working in a warehouse/industrial setting
Strong awareness of health and safety practices
Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
