Summary
Machine Operator – Food Production
Near Cupar
£12.80 per hour
Overtime paid at £16 per hour
Temp to perm for the right candidate after 12 weeks
Must have Machine Operator experience
Own transport required due to location and start time
Full time – NO part time hours available

Rota - mix of dayshift and backshift and every second weekend
Our client has been in business since 1976, when two farming families in Fife started growing vegetables in partnership. They grow approximately 2800 hectares of vegetables and salad crops across Scotland.
About the Machine Operator Role:
Ensure all machinery is operated, controlled, monitored and maintained in order to maximise operational efficiency. Machine Operators should carry out their tasks to ensure both Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are complied with at all times.
Responsibilities:
Operating Machinery
· Changing film
· Selecting programmes
· Monitor machine hourly performance
Communication
· Raise all machine faults with Machine Controller/Technician so a Shire request can be submitted
· Raise any Health & Safety issues or concerns with Machine Controller/Technician
Quality/Compliance
Complete all appropriate paperwork associated with the machine and legal compliance including product check sheets
Ensure product quality meets the required specification
Regularly check seal & print integrity
Maintain housekeeping standards
Objectives
· Continually deliver a high standard of work output which does not compromise our quality and health and safety standards
· Achieve consistently the product quality standard required for each customer and be alert and communicate any raw material or finished product quality issues to your supervisor or Team Leader
· Maintain a positive attitude towards your duties and cooperate with the business to improve its operation and cost effectiveness
· Proactively communicate issues to the Supervisor/Team Leader seek clarity of instruction where required do not assume/guess
· Be a team player and demonstrate willingness to support colleagues and the business
