The Role
We are seeking an experienced M365 Tester to support a key one‑off project within the ICT & Digital directorate. The post holder will be responsible for testing Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Dynamics, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and CoPilot. This role requires strong technical understanding of M365 integration, customisation and troubleshooting, alongside excellent communication and collaboration skills.
The M365 Tester will work closely with developers, end users and cross‑functional teams to ensure all integrations and system changes are fully tested and meet business requirements. Initial training will be delivered face‑to‑face, followed by remote working, with office attendance required as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement test scripts aligned with business requirements
Conduct functional, regression and performance testing across M365 applications
Identify, document and report defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues
Test integrations between M365, D365 and existing systems
Use Azure DevOps and other testing tools to support collaborative working
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of M365 developments, updates and best practice
Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality delivery of system changes
Support end users during testing phases and provide clear communication on issues and outcomes
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience & Skills
Strong experience testing Microsoft 365 applications (Dynamics, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, CoPilot)
Understanding of M365 technical architecture, integration and customisation
Experience conducting functional, regression and performance testing
Ability to identify, document and track defects through to resolution
Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools
Strong communication and mentoring skills
Ability to work collaboratively with developers, end users and wider ICT teams
Commitment to staying current with M365 updates and emerging technologies
Additional Requirements
Ability to attend the office regularly as required
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
