We are looking for a Finance Analyst to be responsible for providing detailed, regular analysis of customer services financial data, including variance and trend analysis. The post holder will support the preparation of income and expenditure schedules, balance sheet reconciliations and assist with budgeting, forecasting and management accounts processes.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Support the processing, accounting, monitoring and control of financial data on a periodic basis and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts and monthly management reporting
• Support the monitoring of all service charge transactions and postings, including rechargeable repairs, utilities, managing agents and sinking funds, to ensure that these have been accurately processed and accounted for and to minimize unrecoverable service charge costs
• Assist with the resolution of financial queries from internal and external customers
• Assist with preparing the annual budget and in year reforecasts for income and costs ensuring compliance with legal deadlines, contractual agreements, policies, and procedures.
• Analysis of financial data monthly to ensure it has been charged to the correct general ledger expense code, department and scheme/block, and fully investigate and resolve any principal variances and anomalies identified (e.g., miscodings, duplications)
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• AAT qualified or part qualified accountant or suitable alternative commensurate experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of working with third parties, the wider community, and other external partners including managing agents
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Database management and data analysis tools
• Experience in working with large data sets to ascertain key trends and variances
• Strong organisational skills, able to control and deliver a range of tasks to strict deadlines
