Overview
The Nursery Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. This position requires a nurturing and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about early childhood development. The Nursery Nurse will work closely with children, supporting their learning and development while ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. We are looking for an experienced Nursery Nurse to join our team. Hours are negotiable.
Duties
Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, focusing on the individual needs of each child.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and communicating findings to parents and colleagues.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
Support the management of daily nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment that prioritises the needs of the children.
Skills
Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
A background in early childhood education is highly desirable to support the developmental needs of children.
Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire both children and fellow team members.
Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is beneficial for understanding the dynamics of early years education.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
A genuine passion for working with children, coupled with the ability to drive engagement through creative activities.
