Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an ASD designated provision, working in collaboration with the class teacher, teaching assistants and playing an integral role in the education and development of pupils with ASD and neurodivergent needs. You will:
- Support with sensory stimuli
- Non-verbal communication including PECs and Makaton
- Support with personal/intimate care
- Assist during break and lunch times
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Referenceable experience within a classroom setting (minimum of 40 days within the last 2 years is advantageous)
- Experience supporting SEN (ASD and non-verbal is advantageous)
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
