Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in the Minehead area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and cognition & learning needs
- Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging positively in learning
- Assisting the class teacher with tailored interventions and differentiated activities
- Helping create a calm, safe and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Encouraging independence, emotional regulation and confidence in pupils
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, support work, or similar)
- Patient, resilient and empathetic approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
