Summary

Masstemps Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time temp to perm Electroplater to join a well-established company based in the Walsall area.

Duties Include:

• Prepare surfaces for electroplating by cleaning, degreasing, and activating components.
• Operate and monitor electroplating equipment and plating baths according to specified procedures.
• Apply metal coatings such as nickel, chrome, copper, or zinc to various components ensuring even coverage and desired thickness.
• Conduct routine checks on plating solutions and perform necessary adjustments to maintain chemical balance and plating quality.
• Inspect finished plated products for defects, adherence to specifications, and quality standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of plating tanks
• Maintain accurate records of plating processes, materials used, and quality control checks.
• Good understanding of electrochemical plating processes and surface treatment techniques.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and technical specifications.

HOURS

Monday - Thursday - 07:00am - 16:00pm

Froday - 07:00am - 12:30pm

PAY RATE

£13.00ph to £14.00ph

OTHER INFORMATION

• Certification in Health and Safety or COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with automated plating systems or robotic plating lines.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Work takes place primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and plating baths.
