Summary
Masstemps Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time temp to perm Toolroom Machinist to join a well-established company based in the Wednesbury area.
Duties include:
• 1. Manual Milling Set and operate manual milling machines to machine light steel components to tight tolerances, selecting appropriate feeds, speeds and cutters for each job.
• 2. CNC Milling (XYZ 3-Axis) Set and operate the XYZ 3-axis CNC milling & lathe machines, including program loading, tool offsetting and proving out parts to drawing specification.
• 3. Drawing Interpretation & Trigonometry Read and interpret engineering drawings, calculating angles, coordinates and dimensions using trigonometry to ensure accurate machining of components.
• 4. Tooling & Workholding Setup Select and set appropriate tooling, clamps, vices and fixtures for each job across both manual and CNC machines to ensure components are held securely and machined correctly.
• 5. Inspection & Quality Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment to verify dimensions against drawings, ensuring parts meet required tolerances before sign-off.
HOURS
Monday – Friday - 07.30am – 16.00pm
PAY RATE
£14.00ph to £17.00ph
