Gwahoddir ceisiadau am swydd cyfathrebwr STEM allgymorth. Bydd deiliad y swydd yn gweithio ar y Project Ymestyn yn Ehangach o fewn y Gyfarwyddiaeth Marchnata, Recriwtio a Chyfathrebu ym Mhrifysgol Bangor.
Bydd gofyn i'r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus gyflwyno cyfres o weithdai STEM mewn ysgolion a chymunedau ledled gogledd a chanolbarth Cymru. Bydd y swyddi'n gweithio gyda phartneriaid Ymestyn yn Ehangach i gyflwyno gweithgareddau a gweithdai hwyliog ac addysgiadol i ddysgwyr blaenoriaeth Ymestyn yn Ehangach.
Bydd gan ymgeiswyr delfrydol ddiddordeb mewn hyrwyddo pynciau STEM a llwybrau i addysg uwch. Byddai cefndir mewn pynciau STEM neu addysg yn fanteisiol i’r swydd hon.
Bydd y dyletswyddau'n cynnwys hyrwyddo, trefnu a chynnal cyfres o weithdai STEM blaengar, a fydd yn ehangu dyheadau ac ymwybyddiaeth am addysg uwch, sgiliau a chyrhaeddiad ymysg grwpiau blaenoriaeth Ymestyn yn Ehangach.
Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn codi proffil y rhaglen Ymestyn yn Ehangach, gan ymgysylltu ag ysgolion, busnesau a phartneriaid Ymestyn yn Ehangach. Dylai ymgeiswyr fod wedi cael addysg hyd at lefel Safon Uwch neu NVQ lefel 3 mewn maes pwnc perthnasol a bod â phrofiad helaeth o ymgysylltu â charfannau targed Ymestyn yn Ehangach trwy waith estyn allan mewn cyd-destun addysgol a phrofiad o ddatblygu gweithgareddau dysgu blaengar i oedolion yn ddwyieithog.
Mae gallu cyfathrebu yn Gymraeg yn hanfodol i'r swydd hon.
Mae’r swydd yn amodol ar gliriad manylach boddhaol gan y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd.
Bydd y swydd hon wedi'i lleoli ar y campws ym Mangor ac mae hefyd yn cynnwys gweithio ar draws gogledd a chanolbarth Cymru. Trwy ein fframwaith Gweithio Deinamig, bydd dewis hefyd i dreulio peth amser yn gweithio o bell (er yn aros yn y Deyrnas Unedig) i gynnal cydbwysedd bywyd a gwaith. STEM Outreach Communicator

Salary: £26,942 - £29,959 p.a. (Grade 5)
Applications are invited for an outreach STEM communicator role. The role will be working on the Reaching Wider Project within the Directorate of Marketing , Recruitment and Communications at Bangor University.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver a series of STEM workshops in schools and communities across North and Mid Wales. The positions will work with Reaching Wider partners to deliver fun and informative activities and workshops for Reaching Wider priority learners.
Ideal candidates will have an interest in promoting STEM subjects and routes into to higher education. A background in STEM subjects or education would be advantageous to this role.
Duties will include promoting, organising, delivering a series of progressive STEM workshops, which will broaden aspirations and Higher Education awareness, skills, and attainment among Reaching Wider’s priority groups.
The successful candidate will raise the profile of the Reaching Wider programme, engaging with schools, businesses and Reaching Wider’s partners. Candidates should be educated to A level standard or NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject area and have extensive experience of outreach engagement with Reaching Wider target cohorts in an educational context and experience of delivering progressive adult learning activities bilingually.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for the role.
This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor and also includes working across North and Mid Wales. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
