Summary
Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Assistant to join our Sample Management team at our site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 08:30 - 5pm
Job Responsibilities:
Performing any combination of sample management tasks, including labelling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of samples and / or materials
Sample accession core tasks, including box opening, inventory / labelling, receipt / store, and pulls / returns
Using tracking systems as appropriate to maintain sample and study integrity
Documenting and communicating discrepancies to appropriate personnel, and assisting with problem solving
Maintaining storage units
Ensuring company procedures are followed in relation to security and access to relevant areas and data or sample integrity
Minimum Qualifications:
National level of education (c / 4 or above) in Science, Math and English GCSE or equivalent
Additional Job Standards:
Experience in a warehouse, logistics or sample handling role advantageous
Competent in using software packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook
Good attention to detail paired with time management and organisational skills
Ability to learn new systems
Physical requirements include, but not are limited to, standing, bending, reaching and some lifting
Will work with -20ºC, -70ºC freezers and refrigerated samples
This is an office-based role and you may be required to visit other departments around the site
Please note, due to the remote location of this site, there are no public transport links available
