General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Teach General Science full time across relevant secondary year groups.
- Deliver well‑planned practical and theory-based Science lessons.
- Teach some PSHE and RS content to a form group as required.
- Adapt teaching approaches to support varied learning needs and abilities.
- Support pupils in developing enquiry skills, scientific understanding and analytical thinking.
- Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour in the classroom.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive written and verbal feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development.
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong Science teaching experience.
- Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.
- Comfortable delivering PSHE/RS content to form groups.
- Effective behaviour management and strong classroom organisation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to motivate learners of differing abilities.
- Reflective, proactive and committed to high‑quality teaching.
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being.
