Summary

Join us in Occupational Health (OH) and discover a role that brings together clinical practice, professional growth, and a healthy work–life balance. As a Nursing Associate in our team, you’ll be part of a dynamic, supportive service that plays a vital role in keeping our workforce safe, healthy, and able to deliver exceptional care.

In this unique clinical environment, no two days are the same. You’ll use and develop a wide range of skills; conducting health surveillance, undertaking immunisation and phlebotomy clinics, supporting fitness-for-work assessments, and providing timely advice to colleagues across the organisation. You’ll be a key point of contact for staff, offering calm, compassionate guidance and support.

What makes OH particularly rewarding is the blend of autonomy and teamwork. You’ll work closely with experienced clinicians, benefit from structured support, and enjoy opportunities to broaden your clinical expertise in an area that promotes health, safety and wellbeing. At the same time, the service offers a balanced, predictable working pattern, perfect for those seeking stability without losing the excitement and satisfaction of direct clinical practice.

If you’re looking for a role where you can grow, make a real impact every day, and enjoy a great work-life balance while still practising hands‑on clinical care, Occupational Health is the place to be.

Interview Date: 13th April 2026

As an OH Nursing Associate, you will play a key role in delivering a high quality, proactive OH service. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will help protect, promote, and improve the health and wellbeing of our workforce through safe, effective, evidence based practice.

In this varied role, you will independently deliver a range of clinical activities, including spirometry, audiometry, vision screening, skin assessments, pre placement screening, venepuncture, and vaccination clinics. You will interpret clinical results, support staff after sharps or contamination injuries, and assist in managing infectious disease exposures by coordinating follow up testing, providing timely advice, and arranging referrals.

Strong communication and organisational skills are essential as you support colleagues through the referral process, respond to queries, and contribute to Trust induction, training sessions, and health promotion events. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining clinical equipment, managing stock, taking part in audits and risk assessments, and contributing to service improvement. Working both autonomously and alongside senior OH nurses, you will ensure high standards of care within your scope of practice and in line with Trust protocols and national standards.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking OH service where your clinical skills and enthusiasm will help shape the future of staff health and wellbeing.
