Summary


This is a full-time, on-site role for a Night Supervisor based in Cardiff.

The Night Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring a safe, secure, and efficient environment for both guests and staff.

Key responsibilities include supervising the night team, supporting front desk by conducting check in and check out of guests and porter duties where required.

Ensuring all areas of the hotel operate smoothly throughout the night. You will act as the main point of contact for any issues that arise, handling guest concerns, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining high service standards at all times.

The role also involves conducting regular checks of the property, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, completing night reports, and preparing the hotel for the morning shift. A smooth handover to the daytime management team is essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and support night staff to ensure efficient operations
• Act as the main point of contact for guest queries, complaints, or emergencies
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
• Conduct regular security and safety checks throughout the property
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
• Assist with reception and operational duties when required
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas
• Complete night reports and ensure accurate handover to the day team
• Handle any incidents calmly, professionally, and in line with company procedures

Qualifications
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality is preferred
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Confident working independently and taking initiative during overnight shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance
• Basic computer skills; experience with hotel systems is an advantage
• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work night shifts
