Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint a Part-time Lecturer in Science. This role entails working 21 hours per week at our Aylesbury campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Level 2 and Level 3 study programmes at the college. Biology experience and Lab Experience would be beneficial.
The lecturing role will require you to teach on the T Level science, Forensic Science Level 3 and Level 2 Applied Science. The candidate will have good Chemistry and Physics knowledge to deliver on these courses.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Have the ability to plan and prepare innovative schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules which motivate students to achieve.
- Plan and deliver highly effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment, whilst also ensuring students are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential.
- Address the Science needs of students and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning, both within and outside of the classroom
- Be confident in delivering practical experiments in science labs to develop learner skills so that they can thrive on their study programme.

Taking Teaching Further
The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education. As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
