Salary - £29,725 per annumHours - 37 hours per week, all year roundContract - PermanentLocation - PeterboroughClosing Date - 31st March 2026Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for delivering excellent service and improving the student experience?This is a full time (37 hours per week), all year round on a permanent contract. We are looking for a Senior Admissions Officer to play a key role in managing and developing our admissions processes, supporting applicants from first contact through to enrolment.About the roleIn this role, you will take ownership of the admissions process, ensuring applications are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with UCAS and internal requirements. You will also support the coordination of the admissions team and work closely with colleagues across the college to deliver a seamless applicant journey.Alongside this, you will contribute to outreach and recruitment activity, particularly supporting students from underrepresented groups, helping to widen participation in higher education.Key responsibilitiesOversee the end-to-end admissions process, ensuring applications are processed accurately and within key deadlinesSupport and coordinate the day-to-day activity of the admissions teamDeliver recruitment, outreach and applicant engagement activities, including one-to-one guidance sessionsMaintain accurate data and produce reports to support recruitment and admissions performanceWork collaboratively with Academic Services, Student Services, MIS and Marketing teamsContribute to the development and continuous improvement of admissions processes and policiesAbout youWe are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident in managing processes and supporting others.You will have:Experience in administration and customer serviceStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsConfidence working with data, systems and processesExperience within a higher education or admissions environment, or knowledge of UCAS processes, would be advantageous.Why join us?This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can make a real impact on both the student experience and how admissions services are delivered.We offer a Local Government Pension Scheme, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and opportunities for professional development.How to applyIf you’re ready to take the next step in your career and play a key role in supporting students into higher education, we’d love to hear from you.
