Summary
Equans is looking for a Soft Service Supervisor to join our team covering multiple Schools across the Birmingham area. Based out of Regeneration House, B46 1JU you will work 37.5 hours a week on a permanent basis. On offer is a salary of £30,000.00 per annum and benefits package. Shift Pattern:7.5 hours per dayShifts between 6am - 7pm daily and to be agreed on weekly basis with Line Manager. For this role you must undergo a DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential. A valid full driving licence is essential What will you deliver? Responsible for ensuring the provision of a safe and high quality cleaning service across the schools campus that enables the delivery of a safe, sanitary, clean and tidy environment consistent with the education function. Ensure appropriate cleaning frequencies are in place as per contractual requirement and to suit the needs of the core services, and conduct the cleaning of all areas in such a way as to enable all users of the building to do so safely and hygienically whilst promoting a positive image of the schools to all its users. To manage all aspects of the cleaning staff on site in the delivery of the cleaning services as required, including such areas as inductions, training, monitoring, time and attendance management, performance management, stock control, health and safety, complaints and auditing. Duties to include: • Supervise, motivate, and support the cleaning team for your specified sites to deliver a high-quality service in line with contract requirements.• Manage staff recruitment, induction, training, rotas, and cover to ensure effective staffing for all cleaning duties, including periodic and deep cleans.• Monitor performance by conducting regular cleaning audits, managing open jobs to prevent SLA failures, and providing prompt responses and solutions to service issues.• Ensure all work complies with health & safety policies, statutory requirements, and company procedures, including conducting management safety visits and associated reporting.• Oversee management, safe use, storage and stock control of cleaning equipment, materials, and consumables, reporting any hazards or property damage as needed.• Complete and submit timesheets and absence records promptly, maintaining clear communication with management and stakeholders.• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by line management.
