Summary

Children’s Residential Support Worker – Cheltenham GL51 (EBD/LD)

Salary: £27,600 p/a (non-qualified) | £29,000 p/a (qualified) (including 5 contractual sleeps per month)

Hours: Average 37.5 hours p/w (163 hours p/m) FTE pro rata for part time

Your Role:
Build trusting relationships with children, offering support, guidance, and stability
Plan and deliver fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities to help children develop skills and confidence
Collaborate with families, schools, and external professionals to ensure children receive the best support
Be a positive role model and encourage children to flourish
Maintain clear records of daily observations and progress

What You Need:

Assistant Care Practitioner (non-qualified):
No prior experience required — full support and training provided to achieve your Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma
Passion for working with children
Flexibility and resilience

Care Practitioner (qualified):
Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare or working with challenging behaviours
Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma (or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
