About the role
Source Supply is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Chesterfield area. This is a full-time role, working five days per week, supporting a Year 4 class as a mainstream classroom assistant.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. In addition to general classroom support, you will also lead small-group phonics sessions, providing targeted support to pupils and helping them develop their literacy skills to reach expected standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and committed individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
