Principal Planning Officer needed in Somerset
This is a temporary contract initially paying £41.54ph PAYE

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an efficient and customer‑focused planning service, taking responsibility for assessing and processing a varied caseload of planning applications in line with national and local policy. They will undertake site visits, prepare clear and balanced officer reports, engage confidently with applicants, agents, councillors and residents, and provide accurate professional advice throughout the planning process. The post‑holder will be organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines effectively while contributing positively to the wider objectives of the planning team..
