This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in systems engineering, product development, and mechanical and electrical design. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software, programming languages, and engineering principles, to ensure the reliability and performance of our solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive test plans and protocols for electrical, mechanical, and system components.
Conduct rigorous testing using tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, and specialised software like SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, and CAD programmes.
Analyse schematics, system design documents, and technical drawings to identify potential issues or improvements.
Perform root cause analysis on failures or defects identified during testing phases.
Utilise GD&T principles to evaluate manufacturing tolerances and ensure compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with product development teams to refine designs based on test results; support fabrication and maintenance activities as required.
Execute debugging procedures on hardware and software components to resolve issues efficiently.
Document test procedures, results, and recommendations clearly for review by engineering teams.
Assist in the realisation of system modifications or enhancements based on testing feedback.
Experience
Proven experience in systems engineering or related fields within construction, electrical engineering, or mechanical design sectors.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is essential.
Strong programming skills in Python, C++, C#, MATLAB are highly desirable.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and system design is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging of complex systems.
Knowledge of fabrication processes, maintenance procedures, GD&T standards, and system troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with product development cycles from concept through testing to deployment is preferred. This role offers a dynamic environment where technical expertise is valued and professional growth is encouraged through challenging projects and ongoing learning opportunities.
