St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. Job Summary

The Training Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of training services within their region. This includes overseeing the performance and development of training staff, coordinating training operations, and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality courses.

Key responsibilities include managing team performance through regular 1-1s and reviews, coordinating training resources and logistics, maintaining compliance with organisational and statutory standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction across all training activities. The role also contributes to achieving operational targets, improving training delivery, and supporting the ongoing growth and development of the training function.

You are an experienced leader with a passion for developing people and delivering high-quality training. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where organisation, collaboration, and strong communication are essential. You have the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team while ensuring training is delivered professionally and to the highest standards.

You are comfortable managing performance, supporting professional development, and ensuring teams operate in line with organisational policies and procedures. With strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset, you are confident addressing challenges, supporting trainers, and ensuring a positive learning experience for all delegates.

About the Role

As Training Delivery Manager, you will lead and support a team of Lead Trainers, Trainers, Trainees, and Apprentices to deliver high-quality training programmes. You will oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of your team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver engaging and effective training to customers.

You will coordinate the delivery of a wide range of training courses, ensuring that all operational aspects such as staffing, venues, logistics, resources, and compliance requirements are effectively managed. Working closely with internal stakeholders and support teams, you will ensure that training activities align with organisational standards, statutory requirements, and health and safety regulations.

In this role, you will also play an important part in driving performance and continuous improvement. You will support the achievement of business targets, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure a positive experience for both trainers and course delegates.
