About the Role
We are looking for a resilient and committed Humanities Teacher to join a supportive SEMH secondary school in High Wycombe.
You’ll be teaching small classes (max. 6 students), delivering engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography and/or Religious Studies) to pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference—helping young people rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve positive outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 & KS4
•
Adapt teaching to meet diverse SEMH needs
•
Use a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach
•
Work closely with pastoral and behaviour support teams
•
Monitor progress and tailor interventions
•
Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
•
Qualified Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
•
Experience teaching Humanities at KS3 and/or KS4
•
Strong classroom presence with a patient and consistent approach
•
Emotionally resilient and adaptable
•
Passion for inclusive education
Experience in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision is desirable but not essential.
