Summary

Your new company
You will be joining a well‑established and growing organisation operating within a fast‑moving wholesale and distribution environment. The business supplies a wide range of specialist products to retailers across the UK and Ireland, offering customers consistent delivery, extensive product choice, and strong operational reliability. The company has been operating for decades and continues to expand its product range and service offering, supported by a dedicated operational and commercial workforce.

Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for leading the finance function, ensuring robust financial management across budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, management reporting, and financial control. You will oversee daily accounting operations, including stock and margin reporting, supplier payments, credit control, and balance‑sheet reconciliations within a high‑volume wholesale setting. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to provide financial insight, support commercial decision‑making, lead system and process improvements, and drive strong financial performance across the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll bring strong experience in financial or management accounting, ideally within wholesale, retail, distribution, or any environment where stock and margins play a key role. You will have strong analytical skills, excellent Excel capability, and experience preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts. You should be comfortable operating in an SME environment, balancing hands‑on tasks with strategic oversight. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work cross‑functionally with non‑finance teams are essential. Part‑qualified, or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA is desirable.

What you'll get in return
You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of a finance function within a stable, long‑established organisation that continues to grow its operations and product offering. You'll work closely with senior leadership, influence commercial and operational decisions, and gain broad exposure across the business. This role offers genuine autonomy, the ability to shape financial processes, and a platform for long‑term career development in a supportive and collaborative environment.
