Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced and qualified Residential support workers to join our team. They must share our passion in providing a nurturing and supportive approach to their care, whilst promoting and maintaining our expectation of high standards and good practices.

The children’s home is in Tottenham and will provide accommodation to 3 children/young people of both genders and ages 8-18.

We are looking for passionate, and experienced support workers who can demonstrate they can provide the highest quality care for children & young people;

Ability to take responsibility as a Support Worker for an allocated young person and provide positive role modelling, encouraging them to have healthy relationships and enabling them to build trust.

Follow each Individual Behaviour and Risk Management Plan to safeguard our young people and encourage them to behave in a socially acceptable manner.
Ability to work on a rota system including waking nights, bank holidays and weekend working.
To have a flexible approach to working hours, to ensure the needs of the home and its children, colleagues, and organisation are met
Ability to physically intervene if a child’s behaviour is dangerous to themselves or others.
A full driving licence would be desirable.
To hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or equivalent, would be desirable, otherwise must be willing to complete this qualification.
Previous experience of working with young people would be desirable.

Responsibilities of Support Worker
Ensure children are safeguarded and their views and wishes heard
Motivate and engage young people in group activities.
Ability to build strong relationships with the young people in our care.
Ability to facilitate the young person’s recreational needs, daily independent living skills and to promote their emotional wellbeing.
Maintain written records and write reports.
