Job Purpose
As a Commercial Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Project Quantity Surveyor’s and wider Commercial team with day‑to‑day commercial compliance, financial management, and cost control activities. Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of a number of exciting developments — from project inception through to the finalisation of Client and Subcontractor accounts, management of retentions, and support with the control and maintenance of all documentation during the project and archiving upon completion.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all legal documentation and associated information is accurately uploaded to the businesses Project+ system.
Understanding and following the Lovell Regional Commercial Audit protocol to maintain comprehensive project records.
Provide Quantity Surveying support to help maintain effective commercial control across assigned developments.
Assist with establishing targets and rates, as well as remeasuring and evaluating labour-only and direct labour outputs.
We’re seeking a Commercial Assistant with experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of value recovery, cost control, and cashflow management.
You’ll bring solid Commercial Acumen, knowledge of measurement and valuation, financial reporting, final accounts, Subcontractor orders, and procurement processes.
Experience using COINS software and working in the construction sector would be a strong advantage.
