Long Term Futures has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth.
The role focuses on supporting Nursery and Reception pupils, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment where early learners can thrive. You will play a key role in delivering the EYFS curriculum while supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of the EYFS framework through engaging, play-based learning.
- Leading small group interventions in phonics and early numeracy to bridge attainment gaps.
- Monitoring and documenting pupil progress to assist the Class Teacher with daily assessments.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils, including assisting with personal care and transitions.
- Maintaining a high standard of health and safety within both the classroom and outdoor learning areas.
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Level 3 Qualification (or above) in Supporting Teaching and Learning or as an Early Years Educator.
- Proven experience specialising in an EYFS or Nursery setting.
- In-date Paediatric First Aid Certificate is highly desirable for this position.
- A warm, patient, and proactive approach to early childhood education.
- Must hold a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one.
