SEN Teacher - Southwark - Mainstream Primary school

Are you a QTS holding teacher, with experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs? Are you confident in working with children with ASD, MLD/PMLD, or disabilities? Have you ever had experience with Makaton or BSL (British Sign Language)?
The Job
Working on a long term full time contract, you'll be kept busy; working to plan, prepare, deliver, and assess a cross-curriculum programme of learning to pupils with a wide range of disabilities including MLD and ASC. Your day will be varied, engaging children in the classroom to access the curriculum, complete their work, and reach their potential. You'll take initiative, be resilient, and drive pupils to achieve and progress. You'll work on varied learning activities, promote confidence and effective communication, and encourage pupils to act independently to succeed.
You'll Be
- A Qualified Teacher in possession of QTS
- Ideally Primary trained, and comfortable delivering Maths, English, or PSHE to Secondary age SEN pupils
- Experience of young people with SEN, MLD, ASC, disabilities or additional needs
- Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
- Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
