Summary

Job Title: Part-Time QTS Tutor (Maths & English)

Hourly Rate: GBP30 per hour
Average Hours: 20 hours per week

Role Overview:
Are you a qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This part-time QTS Tutor role in St. Helens offers the perfect opportunity to work with students who need additional support in Maths and English during school hours.

In this role, you will provide Maths and English tuition to students, helping them overcome academic challenges while working within a supportive and structured school environment. You will be required to have QTS as a key qualification for this role, ensuring that you are fully equipped to offer high-quality tutoring and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Maths and English tuition to students with SEN during school hours (9 AM - 3 PM).

Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of each student.

Track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to help them reach their potential.

Work closely with other teaching staff to monitor students progress and provide additional support where necessary.

Develop personalised learning plans to enhance students academic and personal development.

Requirements:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential for this role.

At least 6 months of UK-based experience in tuition or working with children with SEN.

Experience teaching Maths and English, with a passion for supporting students academic growth.

Availability for at least 3 days a week.

Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

A proactive, student-focused approach to teaching.

Additional Information:

The role is part-time, with an average of 20 hours per week.

The hourly rate is GBP30, and the role will be carried out during school hours (9 AM to 3 PM).
