Summary
SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Lewisham
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced SENCo to join our supportive and inclusive Primary school located in Lewisham. The successful candidate will lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring all learners receive high-quality support to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Identify, assess, and monitor students with additional learning needs.
- Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
Person Specification Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) or willingness to complete it.
- Experience working with SEND students in a secondary school setting.
Desirable:
- Previous SENCo or SEND leadership experience.
- Experience working with external professionals and local authorities.
- Knowledge of EHCP processes and reviews.
