Summary
A secondary school that values academic excellence and creative freedom is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students in their learning.
Responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
• Assisting students working at a lower ability, ensuring they can complete their work
• Leading small group interventions, mostly in the core subjects
• Promoting a love for learning and being a role model for young people
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll also need to use your initiative in the classroom, identifying any students who may be struggling and communicating this with the main class teacher. Experience working in a school isn’t essential, but any previous experience working with children would be beneficial.
