Summary
Job Overview
To operate machinery to produce plain labels into finished rolls or sheets that meet the customer specifications. The role also includes learning to operate the rewind machines where you would be finishing the materials from the printing presses into customer ready reels that meet all specifications.
Experience is an advantage, but full training can be given to the correct candidate.
Responsibilities
Putting the substrates onto the machines.
Inserting and removing rotary die cutting tools.
Setting the correct parameters to meet quality standards and customer specification.
Continuous quality monitoring
Operating the machines to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved while minimising waste.
Labelling and packing products as you go.
Completing all required paperwork.
Always working in a safe manner and reporting any issues.
Ensure that all duties are undertaken in compliance with the company's policies and procedures
Being able to take on any duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Requirements
Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict delivery deadlines.
A logical thinker.
Pro-active with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Able to recognise good quality and deal accordingly with any fluctuations from this.
Able to work in a team as well as on their own initiative.
Willing to contribute to the continuous improvement activities.
Effective with communication skills, both verbal & written.
Confident with their numerical skills.
