Summary
A busy residential home for the elderly is currently looking to add to its maintenance/gardening team.
We are looking for someone one day a week, with the offer of overtime during the summer months, to maintain our large garden (two days from March to October 31st)
Duties will include the following for the outside area:
Cutting the grass
De weeding and cleaning the garden areas
General gardening duties - fence repairs, painting etc.
Maintaining flowers and plants
Inside areas:
General ad hoc small maintenance tasks/general repairs
Moving stock/deliveries
Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times
Driving residents to appointments after training
This role requires a full DBS clearance to be obtained, and the requirement to adhere to our training policy, with 10 mandatory online training courses to be completed.
This role may include working at another location in Meopham - to be discussed at interview stage.
A background in a similar role would be ideal; the ability to engage with both staff and residents is extremely important.
A driver's license is required due to the requirement to drive residents to appointments.
