Summary

Are you currently working in the Custody Environment, do you have 12 months+ experience? 

Would you like a new career challenge, managing a small team of HCPs within the Custody suites, do you have a real passion for developing clinical, forensic, and wider skills not just in yourself but your wider team?

What can I earn? 

-Starting salary of £45,000 can earn up to £49,000 - when all training completed

-However, with typical overtime shifts at premium rates, based on actual earlier data, that's another £3,500.

-Refer a friend and receive £500.

What are the minimum requirements? 

-You'll be a qualified RN Adult, RMN's (with dual registration), RGNs or Paramedics 

-Minimum of 12 months previous Custody experience, 3 years post qualification experience, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health, or Ambulance Service) as an Adult RN

-3 years UK residency  

-You'll need a current manual driving license with no restrictions to sometimes travel to other custody suites or local hospitals.

-All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.



What does the role involve?

Your main responsibility will be to lead a team of HCPs providing detained individuals with exact assessments and assuring their care and wellbeing needs are met. Looking at Rota gaps and covering as needed. You will manage the HCPs ensuring they are supervised and appraised appropriately. Acting as management you will work as a part of an integrated team with the Clinical lead and Lead senior to ensure that the local processes follow National Clinical Governance Standards and the Forces specific needs.



 Training provided



-Appraisal and performance management training

-Non-medical Independent and supplementary prescribing

-Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice in Custody Healthcare's

-RCUK approved Advanced Life Support training

-Mentoring from experienced CLs

-Our bespoke ‘Leading Together' management training course

-FFLM Licentiate in General Forensic Medicine Part 1 and 2 within 5 years of recruitment

-UKAFN ASET in Forensic Practice within 3 years of recruitment

-Examined mental health and substance misuse training.
