Summary

The Independent Living Team on behalf of an individual employer

Personal Assistant Required

Hours: 6 hours per week during the day (extra hours when needed during the evening throughout the month)

Rate of pay: £12.60

Location: Penketh

About role:

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and proactive Personal Care Assistant to support, a young woman who enjoys exercise, social activities, and keeping active. This role is suitable for someone who prefers varied, community‑based support rather than café or coffee‑shop visits.



Hours of Support

The weekly and monthly support requirements are as follows:

Weekly Hours

Monday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4 hours)

Thursday: 12:45pm – 2:30 pm (2 hours)
This includes waiting for, transporting to, and dropping off the client at her Zumba class at Great Sankey Hub.

Monthly Activities

Bowling: One Tuesday evening per month, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Discos: A couple of evening events per month, usually 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Personal care is limited due to the short duration of support sessions.



Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys physical activity, being busy, and actively engaging in community activities

Can provide encouragement, support, and reassurance during outings

Is reliable, patient, and has a positive attitude

Is ideally available during school term time,



Requirements

A Driving Licence, (the driver needs to be over 21 and driven for 3 years to use the client’s mobility vehicle)

Must be comfortable supporting an individual in a variety of community settings

Experience is welcome but not essential; the right personal qualities are most important
