Summary

⭐ Vocational & English Tutor – Chesterfield ⭐
Salary: £18,200 – £21,000 (Pro‑Rata)

Hours: 26.25 hours per week (no Friday working)

Role: Part‑time merged role: Vocational Tutor + English Tutor

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them progress into employment, further training, or apprenticeships? We’re looking for a dedicated Vocational & English Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching and mentoring to learners aged 16–18 at our Chesterfield centre.

This newly combined role offers the best of both worlds: practical employability teaching and academic English delivery (GCSE & Functional Skills), giving you the opportunity to make a wide-ranging impact across the study programme.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing
Vocational & Employability Delivery
Deliver engaging, practical sessions to develop employability, personal development, and vocational skills

Support learners with CVs, interview skills, work readiness, and career planning

Provide feedback, track progress, and help learners achieve their individual goals

Work collaboratively with employers to create meaningful learning experiences

English Delivery (GCSE & Functional Skills)
Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English sessions to build literacy, communication, and confidence

Support learners in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills

Prepare learners for assessments and track progress to ensure successful outcomes

Maintain compliance through accurate records, schemes of work, and individual learning plans

✅ What You Bring
A teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent – or willingness to work towards)

Experience delivering vocational/employability or English (GCSE/Functional Skills) — ideally both

Passion for supporting learners to succeed

Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills for planning, delivery, and record keeping

Bonus: Previous experience delivering employability programmes or Functional Skills English
