Summary
This is a temporary funded position until 31st March 2028
We are looking for a Wellbeing Coach to deliver evidence-based public health programmes that support residents to adopt healthier, more active lifestyles. You will collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to deliver high-quality physical activity focussed health initiatives across the borough.
You will deliver targeted physical activity and weight-management interventions, undertake assessments and health checks, and provide structured health coaching informed by an understanding of health conditions, risk factors, and behaviour-change principles.
It is essential you have a level 3 qualification in exercise, for example GP referral qualification/personal trainer. You must also have a First Aid qualification or be willing and able to complete this within 3 months of appointment.
You must have experience of delivering health and physical activity programmes to diverse populations and you must have the ability to create and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of partners.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively and be able to prepare statistical information for monitoring and evaluation.
Appointment to this post is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory (Enhanced) Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
