Summary

A warm and welcoming family based in Wandsworth are seeking a part-time nanny to care for their son, who will be one year old when the role commences in July. They are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and loving nanny who is truly passionate about childcare and can provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment while the parents are at work.

The role is for two days per week, any two consecutive days between Monday-Thursday with Wednesday ideally being one of them. The working hours are 8:00am to 7:30pm (with some flexibility). Both parents will be in the office, so the nanny will have sole charge. The position involves attentive, nurturing care for their son and creating a fun, engaging environment that supports development, including organising age-appropriate activities and enjoying outings and local classes.
Nursery duties only are required, including the child’s laundry and preparing healthy, home-cooked vegetarian meals, with batch cooking during nap times. The little one currently has allergies to cow’s milk and soy, but the family are following guidance from their paediatrician on gradual reintroduction.

The family are looking for someone warm, energetic, confident and positive, who enjoys encouraging learning through play and exploration. A minimum of two years’ nanny experience is required, along with strong baby experience. A childcare qualification is preferred, and a valid enhanced paediatric first aid certificate is essential.

The family also have a friendly cocker spaniel, so the nanny must be comfortable around dogs, although the dog is usually at daycare and will not require care. A driving licence is not required.
This role is to start in mid-July, with the option of a few afternoon or ad hoc hours beforehand if desired. The salary on offer is £22 gross per hour (approximately £26,312 per annum). This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to join a kind and down-to-earth family.
