Summary

We are looking for an experienced Over-the-Counter (OTC) Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a good knowledge of pharmacy products, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy retail environmen.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to customers at the pharmacy counter.

Offer advice on medicines and general healthcare products within your competence and training.

Support the pharmacist in delivering a high standard of customer care.

Process sales and handle transactions accurately.

Assist with stock management, merchandising, and expiry date checks.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop area.

Comply with all pharmacy policies, SOPs, and GPhC standards.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare retail environment.

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer focus and attention to detail.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Must have work experience in a retail sector.
